2003 Frederick County Comprehensive Policy Plan
The Code of Virginia requires all local governments in Virginia to adopt comprehensive plans which address the physical development of the community. The 2003 Comprehensive Plan was officially adopted by the Frederick County Board of Supervisors on January 28, 2004.
The primary goal of the County's Comprehensive Policy Plan is to protect and improve the living environment within our community. The Plan contains strategies and implementation methods designed to facilitate the attainment of the stated goals and policies. Through the implementation of the plan, the County seeks to manage growth in a flexible yet coordinated way.
Current copies of the Plan, including maps, are available for review and/or purchase from the Planning Department. The purchase price of $30 includes the Plan text in a three-ring binder and full-sized Eastern Frederick County Long-Range Land Use Plan Map.
