1989 Frederick County Comprehensive Policy Plan

The Code of Virginia requires all local governments in Virginia to adopt comprehensive plans which address the physical development of the community. The 1989 Comprehensive Plan was officially adopted by the Frederick County Board of Supervisors on March 8, 1989.

The primary goal of the County's Comprehensive Policy Plan is to protect and improve the living environment within our community. The Plan contains strategies and implementation methods designed to facilitate the attainment of the stated goals and policies. Through the implementation of the plan, the County seeks to manage growth in a flexible yet coordinated way.
