Capital Improvements Plans
The Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) is a document which provides a schedule for major capital expenditures for the County for the ensuing five years.
The CIP, adopted annually, is intended to assist the Board of Supervisors in preparation of the County budget. In addition to determining priorities for capital expenditures, the County must also ensure that the projects contained within the CIP conform to the Comprehensive Policy Plan.
Specifically, the projects are reviewed with considerations regarding the health, safety, and general welfare of the public.
