Everyday Hero

"Promoting a combination system, embracing volunteer and career personnel who inspire others..."

Frederick County and its elected officials are committed to maintaining a combination Fire and Rescue system, utilizing volunteers and career staff. Frederick County understands that in order to meet the needs of the community, volunteers are essential. At present, Frederick County has over 500 volunteers. Operations would not be possible without their dedication and devotion.

The Frederick County Fire and Rescue System strives for professional excellence. Demonstrating high professional standards is critical to the work that is performed. In addition, we are dedicated to reflecting and respecting cultural diversity throughout the organization.

In summary, the Frederick County Fire and Rescue System has a responsibility to protect life, property and the environment. A commitment has been made to deepen our involvement within the community and fulfill our responsibilities to the best of our abilities.
