Virginia's annual Hurricane Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday
May 25 - May 31, 2011.
Plan to go shopping the last week of May and you will save money. During this
period, no sales tax will be charged on many supplies used to protect homes and
businesses during the hurricane and flooding season.
Items include batteries (AAA, AA, C, D, 6-volt, 9-volt, and cell phone), weather radios, self-powered light sources (flashlights, lanterns, glow sticks), bottled water, first aid kits, and more.
